Today Sofia Connect has fully activated its new POP at TeleHouse North in London and joined the London Internet Exchange (LINX) as a full peering member as well as a ConneXions partner, LINX' reseller programme.
With over 630 members connecting from over 65 different countries and an average throughput of soon 2 Tbps, LINX ranks third among the world's largest Internet exchange points and is an important node for transatlantic Internet traffic.
Given its huge peering community and its resilient architecture LINX increases routing diversity, performance and stability of Sofia Connect's network which counts 235 new peering partners with an open peering policy reachable via LINX.
Customers can benefit from our LINX membership by either subscribing to our IP transit service (AS47872) or obtaining a virtual port at LINX through our remote peering service.
Through our partnership in the ConneXions programme we now offer remote peering service at LINX with flexible bandwidths starting from 100M up to 10G in increments of 100M, 250M, 500M or 1GE or multiples thereof.
Also Sofia Connect has started setting up NNIs with existing and new partners at Telehouse North in order to increase redundancy and build new partnerships.
