Phase 1 — Gateway
From London and Frankfurt's carrier-dense fabrics, Sofia Connect's backbone reaches into South-East Europe over multiple diverse paths — 400G wavelengths, IP transit and dark fibre, fully managed end-to-end.
Phase 2 — Hub
Sofia is where European, Black Sea and Eastern Mediterranean routes converge. Our core sits at Equinix SO1/SO2 and Telepoint, peered at BIX.BG and BG-IX, and reachable from every major IXP via remote peering.
Phase 3 — Bridge
Two independent paths — terrestrial Sofia → Istanbul and the Balchik–Constanța submarine route — give every customer a redundant bridge between Europe and Türkiye, with sub-15 ms RTT to Istanbul.
Phase 4 — Corridor
From Istanbul we extend through the Caucasus to Tbilisi, Yerevan and the Agarak landing point, linking European hyperscalers to Armenia, the Caspian basin and onward toward Central Asia.
Phase 5 — Onward
From Tbilisi we hand off to long-haul partners reaching Dubai and the wider Gulf — completing one of the shortest commercial paths between Frankfurt and the UAE that avoids Egypt entirely.
