We started Sofia Connect because the carriers serving Southeast Europe were optimized for east-west European transit, not for the corridor that actually matters to Bulgaria: Dubai, Yerevan, Tbilisi, Istanbul and Frankfurt.

Since then we have built a two-way fiber, DWDM and IP transit backbone linking 9 international PoPs — Dubai, Yerevan, Agarak, Tbilisi, Istanbul, Sofia, Athens, Frankfurt and London — with 9 Sofia Connect Edge facilities in Bulgaria: Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Burgas, Varna, Balchik, Dobrich, Montana, Pleven and Blagoevgrad.

Balchik is our strategic differentiator. The Caucasus Cable System submarine landing at Balchik connects Europe to the Caucasus across the Black Sea without transiting Türkiye. For carriers who need a geopolitically independent path between EU and Caucasus / Middle East, Balchik is the only production-grade alternative in the region.

Everything we sell — IP transit, Ethernet / L2VPN, DWDM wavelengths and dark fiber — is delivered on the same AS47872 core with a single 24 / 7 NOC and sub-50 ms automatic failover across the DWDM ring. One AS, one SLA, one NOC.
